The Long Way Down

After cycling from Lands’ End to John O’Groats last year, Toddington based CSC Member Roy Carey is about to embark on a new challenge by cycling from St Malo in the northwest corner of France, all the way down to Nice in the southeast corner of France. This will cover about 1,000 miles and include 65,000 feet of ascent, including going up the iconic Mont Ventoux, a tough mountain climb that features in the Tour de France. The ride starts on the 1st September and will take about two weeks to complete.

Roy is taking on this cycling challenge to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. If you would like to support Roy and donate to this very worthwhile charity, please take a look at Roy’s JustGiving page.

Good luck from all at CSC – and don’t forget to do your ‘Mile a Day’ walks while you are out there!
