The CSC Golf Society are a small group of golf enthusiasts who come together once or twice a year to play a round of golf and enjoy each other’s company. Our society is made up of members of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced golfers. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just starting out, we invite you to join us for a day of friendly social golf.
Going back some years the society was affectionately knows as PIGS – the Plough Inn Golf Society. The society was popular amongst villagers and the regular pub patrons of the time, however the focus of the Plough has changed much over the intervening years and the society fell into decline before being revived by the Sports Club.
CSC Golf Society
The society is based in Tebworth/Wingfield and surrounding areas, and we are fortunate to have access to some good golf courses in the local area. We organise regular golf outings, usually once in the winter during the Christmas holiday period, and again in either the spring or summer, where we get the opportunity to experience the challenge and beauty of different golf courses. We generally stay within an hour of our location and have played at Chalgrave, Canehoe Wood (Beadlow Manor), Harpenden, Tilsworth, Whipsnade, and Woburn over recent years. Each outing is usually followed by a social gathering and/or dinner where we can share our experiences of the day and enjoy a drink or two.
The atmosphere of our golf society is relaxed and friendly, with an emphasis on having fun and socialising. We welcome golfers of all ages and backgrounds, and we encourage new members to join us and enjoy the camaraderie of our group. Our golf days are open to CSC members, their guests, and non-members.
