Whether you are an experienced hiker or just starting out, our group walks are the perfect way to get active and enjoy the beautiful scenery in our local area. We have a range of different walks to choose from, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging hikes, so there is something for everyone.
Our walk leaders are passionate about the great outdoors and are committed to ensuring that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. They will provide you with all the information you need to know about the walk, including the terrain, difficulty level, any potential hazards, and if it is dog friendly or not. They will also be on hand to offer guidance and support throughout the walk.
In addition to our regular group walks, we also occasionally organise special events including charity walks or challenge walks (see our Mile a Day Challenge). These are all a great way to meet new people and have fun while staying active.
All of our walks are open to CSC members as well as non-members.
Children are welcome but please be advised that anyone under the age of 18 who participate in, or attend, any of our events or activities, must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or an adult guardian at all times. Please see our policy regarding children for further information.
Please Be Advised:
Due to their nature, we are unable to properly risk assess our group activities including running, walking, and cycling. Whilst our group leaders endeavour to keep everyone as safe as possible, these are led, not coached sessions, irrespective of whether a qualified coach is in attendance. As such you are ultimately responsible for your own safety. See our Health and Safety Policy for further information.
