This year’s spring CSC Golf Day will take place on Saturday 18 May 2024 at Chalgrave Manor Golf Club.
Chalgrave Manor is a rolling open layout with many natural undulations. Water is a feature of the course, coming into play on four holes. The course is set in 155 acres of glorious Bedfordshire countryside and no two sequential holes play in the same direction, which leads to a varied and interesting test. There are four par 5’s on the front nine giving ample opportunity for good scoring but the inward half provides a stiffer examination. It commences with the signature hole par 3 10th which is played over water, followed by a 345 yard par 4 which involves a three tiered putting green.
The typical format for the day is to start around 10:00, with tea/coffee and bacon rolls (or non-meat alternative) on arrival, followed by a round of social golf, with various prizes on offer for overall winner, closest to the pin, longest drive etc. The golf day is open to CSC members and non-members, and everyone is welcome whatever your level or ability. The cost of the golf day is £30.
