Rachel Rockwood (Drake)

Yoga Teacher

After working in merchandising for over 10 years, I felt disillusioned with the corporate world and thought maybe this just wasn’t for me anymore. So I quit the career that no longer felt right and traveled to Bali brimming with excitement to complete my 200 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Teacher Training in May 2017.

I began my own yoga adventure in 2013, taking my first lesson as a way to keep fit and avoid going for a run (full story in the blog). However I was then seduced by the impact that yoga had not just on my overall physical health but the improvements to my mental well-being, providing me with the ability to cope with a stressful career and everyday life.

Following a car accident in 2016, which left me anxious and in pain, I relied on yoga to get myself back to normal. It was this experience that made me become more focused on spreading the healing power of yoga and lead me to travel to Bali.

I now teach yoga full time as a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).

A Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®) is a credential earned by yoga teachers whose training and teaching experience meet Yoga Alliance Registry Standards. A RYT must complete training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS®), be confirmed by RYS and keep current with continuing education.
