Running

Running is a very popular pastime and we have many people in the local community that have taken up the sport, from casual joggers to serious athletes who think nothing of running up some of the highest mountains and across desserts. Whatever your level or ability, Chalgrave Sports Club are here to help and support you, and to provide running opportunities.

Parkrun

CSC regularly attend the local Parkrun at Houghton Hall. Parkrun’s are a fun and friendly way to do a timed 5k distance in your own way, and at your own pace, no matter what your level or ability.

Mile a Day

Join other CSC members by doing a daily run in the ‘Mile a Day’ Challenge. It may sound easy, but can you do it every day for a whole year?

Trail Running

Why not make use of the wonderful countryside around us by participating in trail running. Take your running off-road and get close to nature as you run along trail, tracks, and footpaths, and across fields and woods – it can be really rewarding, and is a great workout.

Couch to 5K

The Couch to 5K plan is both simple and effective, so don’t worry if you’ve never run before or if you feel out of shape. The program gradually builds your endurance and fitness, ensuring you don’t feel overwhelmed at any point. It starts with a mix of running and walking to gradually build up your stamina and before you know it, you’ll be running 5K.
