DESCRIPTION:If you fancy some early morning exercise or if you are in the '
 Mile a Day' challenge\, why not come along and complete your mile (or 3) w
 ith us. You can run\, walk\, or do a bit of both to complete the 5k distan
 ce. We meet up (look out for the CSC flag near the start line) for a chat 
 and warm up from 8:30am\, with the run/walk commencing at 9:00 and we will
  be there for the duration\, cheering you on at the finish. You are welcom
 e to leave any jackets\, keys\, drinks bottles etc with the CSC team for s
 afekeeping while you are taking part.\n\nThe 5K Parkrun is a fun\, and fri
 endly weekly community event and you can cover the 5k by running/jogging/w
 alking all at your own pace. The Parkrun is free to enter but you do need 
 to do a one-time registration to get your personal event barcode. Once you
  have your unique barcode\, you can then use this at any future Parkrun wi
 thout having to register again. You can still do the run/walk without a ba
 rcode\, but your time will not be officially recorded. If you have not don
 e a Parkrun before\, I can highly recommend it\, no matter what your abili
 ty. However slow you think you are\, there will most likely be others behi
 nd you\, and as you go round the super volunteer marshals are really frien
 dly and encouraging\, as are many of the other participants.\n\nThere is f
 ree parking at Houghton Hall Park as well as overflow parking just behind 
 the car park at the Catalyst (previously Aldwyck Housing Group) car park (
 what3words: just.deputy.began) which is accessible via Porz Avenue / Hough
 ton Hall Business Park.
